Now I will aiding 1st and 2nd generation immigrants run for office all over the US. All of the bad news and people's shitty reactions to it have been wearing me down. If we want justice, we need to be the lawmakers, we need to be the lobbyists, we need to take charge. There are so many organizations out there that can help you figure out if running is right for you. If it is, they will be able to support and train you and give you all the resources to be successful.

Getting a job I like has been doing wonders for my self-worth. On the downside this means I won't be able to spend the majority of my time in a circle-scarf-made-dress or denim shorts. Last week I decided to get a few business casual staples for my first day at work and a dress for my sister-in-law's bridal shower (coincidentally happening on the same weekend, ugh). And ankle boots because I literally cannot say no at this point.
