This week has been a bit of a disappointment for various reasons:
1. In my previous post, I said that I wouldn't wear jeans this week (Sunday through Saturday). and I was pretty good about it... until today.
2. Too much monochrome.
3. Too much jean jacket.
4. There was a drastic change in the weather and I just wanted to wear as little as possible, so I sunk into a big funk.
Next week is the last full week of the Challenge and there are at least five items I haven't used at all.
Blouse, Jeans & Necklace: Forever 21 / Wedges: Target
But wait -- there's more!
Jean Jacket: J. Crew / Shirt, Trousers & Necklace: Forever 21 / Flats: H&M
I tried to keep it casual as I would be going out to a bar with friends (a casual-slash-divey bar, not a ~lounge~). Still struggling to incorporate color, but I felt cute.
Shirt: Forever 21 / Belt & Flats: H&M / Dress (used as skirt): Joe Fresh
This outfit was more about comfort than anything because I had to run a few errands and had to stay comfortable, as I did not feel well at all. I didn't really feel like myself in it, but easy breeziness definitely won out on this one.
Blouse & Belt: Forever 21 / Skirt & Flats: H&M
I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the belt (repurposed from an old skirt I had a million years ago) as it wraps around twice, has some cool hardware on it, and gives the outfit a little bit of needed edge that I would have ordinarily incorporated by throwing on a pair of black booties.
Shirt: J. Crew / Skirt: Warehouse via ASOS / Flats: H&M
As much as I love the shirt and the skirt, I think it could have used an accessory but, more importantly, better shoes. I've been counting on these flats too much and I think it kind of throws this outfit off. To be fair, I tried to wear the black heels with this, but it looked off with the sugary sweetness of the polka dot chambray.
Jean Jacket: J. Crew / Dress: Joe Fresh / Belt: Forever 21 / Wedges: Target
Rainy day. Don't mind the combover.
Jean Jacket: J. Crew / Top & Heels: Zara / Jeans: Forever 21
As much as I love this blouse, I can't get quite into rocking it like this/I'm so afraid it'll get dirty and it's too pricey to dry clean. I do plan on pairing it with the floral pants and the bronze skirt, though.
Eleven outfits to go, guys.
Anyway, please feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions! Do you have a favorite pairing so far? Were you trying to follow along but failed miserably? Talk to me.
